How to change your email signature in Yahoo Mail
Four steps, and one thing to know if you have more than one Yahoo address.
This is an approximation. Email clients render differently - Outlook especially - so expect small differences in spacing. If you paste into a text editor or a code window, you'll get plain text - that's normal. The formatting only survives if you paste somewhere that accepts it, like your email client's signature field.
Nothing you type is uploaded to our server or saved - the tool runs in your browser only.

Things worth knowing about Yahoo Mail signatures
Each address is separate. If your account has multiple email addresses, every one has its own signature and its own on/off switch. Saving a signature doesn't switch it on, and switching one on doesn't affect the others, which is why signatures sometimes appear to save without ever showing up.
The mobile app is its own thing. Yahoo's app keeps a separate signature from the web version, and it's more limited. Set them independently.
Formatting support is narrower than Gmail's. Yahoo handles basic HTML well (links, bold, images, simple layout), but complex structure can render inconsistently. A simpler template is a safer choice here than an elaborate one.
Frequently asked questions
- Why does my signature look different in Yahoo Mail than in the preview here?
- Yahoo renders HTML in the browser, so it's usually a close match. Minor spacing differences are normal across every client and not worth chasing.
- I have several Yahoo addresses. Do I need to set this up more than once?
- Yes. Each address has its own signature and its own on/off toggle.
- My signature isn't appearing on new emails.
- Check the toggle beside the address you're sending from. It's separate from saving the signature itself, so it's possible to have one saved but switched off.
